Medical
Care
With
a Medical Doctor and a Family Nurse Practitioner on staff,
Synergy Medical Group is fully qualified to be your Physical Medicine Experts. All musculoskeletal concerns are managed and treated directly by our medical staff. Our patient's treatment is evaluated regularly by all the care providers in the office.
Pain
Management
Pain
is the message your body sends to tell you something is wrong—whether
it is disease, illness or injury. Left unchecked, pain can
become an illness in itself. Pain management encompasses a
variety of methods we use to make you feel better, but it
does more than that. It can speed recovery from injury, keep
you from acquiring additional health problems and make you
able to do things you thought you’d never do again.
Trigger
Point Therapy
"Trigger Points" are areas of focal muscle contraction causing pain. These areas can be treated utilizing digital pressure and in some cases hypodermic injection.
Trigger Point Therapy relieves pain and, in many cases, extends
range of motion.
Chiropractic
Care
Chiropractic
care is the correction of the spine to treat back pain and
other health problems related to the body's nervous system
such as sciatica, headache, spinal stenosis and neck pain,
to name just a few. Chiropractors are concerned with the relationship
between the spine and the nervous system. Chiropractic care
is highly effective without relying on drugs to treat pain
and illness.
Acupuncture
Acupuncture is based on the principle that there are energetic pathways, or channels, throughout the body that influence associated internal organs and structures. Energy from these pathways surfaces at various points on the body, identified as acupuncture points. Each of these acupuncture points serves as a tunnel, or access route, to the deeper circulatory channels within. Extremely fine gauge needles are inserted at selected points, stimulating these points and thereby activating the body's natural healing abilities.
Rehabilitation
Exercise
After
injury or illness, rehabilitation exercise is used to restore
range of motion and get you back to living normally. Our clinical
staff employs a variety of exercises to restore you both physically
and mentally.
Physical Therapy
Physical Therapy
encompasses a range of techniques to repair damage to your
bones, muscles and joints. A Physical Therapist will work with
you to determine a treatment strategy that may include methods
such as traction or muscle stimulation. Physical therapy prevents
your muscles from becoming atrophied after disease secondary
to injury and is also used to treat debilitating diseases
like arthritis or to lessen pain and strengthen the body following
nerve damage.
Diagnostic
Testing
We
employ a variety of strategies that may include x-rays and
range of motion and functional capacity evaluations to quickly
and accurately diagnose your condition. This stage of treatment
aids your doctor in determining your individual limitations
and needs.
Educational
Programs
We
make it a priority to provide health care programs that are
responsive to the needs of our patients. Our staff of professionals
